Signing With Tru Talent

I signed up with TRU Talent Management in September of 2007 just to help out a friend who was employed there at the time. Not knowing exactly what it was all about or what kind of company TRU Talent Management was. Once I came in for my audition and met with my signing agent Cowboy, we discussed the acting and modeling talent I had and discussed all the opportunities that were available. With me doing some modeling a couple years prior to meeting with Cowboy, I was pretty excited and nervous at the same time. He then signed me up for Acting I and I began training with Rob Diamond for about 6 weeks. I have to say, with me having no experience in acting, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot more about acting than I thought I would. Doing the role playing and putting myself in the actors/actresses position was a lot of fun. I didn’t think I would but Rob made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

I continued to take acting for the next month in a half and when I was finished I had the choice of doing Acting II or Modeling I, so I chose Modeling because I had experienced it and I knew I would have a lot of fun. I began modeling about a month later, learning everything from how to take care of your skin and body, to practicing walking on the run way and turns, and just the etiquette to have when in the modeling industry.

While I was in modeling I scheduled a photo shoot with TRU’s professional photo crew. I remember how excited I was when I arrived for my shoot. All the different looks and personalities you have in your photos are amazing. Letting someone else critique you and help put together an amazing shoot and have you look great at the same time!

It is now December 2008 and I feel that I have gained a lot of knowledge and more experience than I thought possible and the staff was amazing to work with through everything. I also made a lot of friends and see myself getting booked and doing more and more auditions and have a lot of extra work. I would see the possibility of and acting/modeling career with Tru Talent Management in the future to come. I really hope others are able to experience what I have at Tru Talent Management and all the career possibilities here. With Tru Talent Management having their own booking department, it makes it very easy to get started with this company. I wish the best to anyone person(s) who chooses to pursue with TRU Talent!!

Tru Talent Wants You To Become An Actor!

Tru Talent Management Can Help You!

Would you like to be an actor?  Tru Talent Management wants you to become an actor and make it big in the acting industry!

Become An Actor

If you want to become an actor, there are some things that you are going to need to do to prepare yourself for success.  If done, these things will strengthen your acting skills and make you a much stronger candidate for acting gigs all around the country.

This is a crucial step because a talent manager can jumpstart your success by leveraging their professional network and making it yours in a sense.  They will work hard to promote you as a person and an actor so you have more opportunities to be seen.

  • Start small and work your way to larger opportunities

Wanna know the true key to success?  Don’t think you have the talent to walk on to the next big feature, whether it be a tv show or a movie.  Those individuals who start small will get far more acting opportunities and training than those who try to make it big from the beginning.  If you get some smaller productions out of the way and on your resume, you will be a much more attractive candidate for the larger features. (climbing the ladder or paying your dues, if you will)

  • Hone your auditioning skills

Know what it is that casting directos are looking for and do everything in your power to be that kind of an actor.  Make sure that you prepare and practice before every audition.  Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!

  • Work HARD!

Nothing can be substituted for hard work!  Hard work and dedication is noticed and will pay off in the long run.  Work hard now and reap the benefits in the future.

Find A Talent Management Agency

The list can go on and on, but for your sake, I’ll cut it short so you don’t get bored.  If I could stress one thing it would be to seek out a Talent Management agency.  They will truly help you get to where you want to be and coach you on these other things along the way.
